Health Equity North: Roundtable discussion report

In April 2023, Health Equity North (HEN) hosted a roundtable discussion at its launch event, bringing together leading experts from across the country to discuss the findings of the Health Equity North 2023 report HEN Roundtable report

The roundtable included representatives from business, regional and local government, academia and industry sectors who contributed to the insightful discussions around what can be done to create health and wealth in northern communities.

The conversations centred around the three themes of HEN: Health for Wealth, Child of the North and Health Resilience. The insights gained through the roundtable will help to further build on the policy recommendations of the HEN: 2023 report, and will help to shape and steer Health Equity North’s focus going forward.

We have produced a report summarising the key areas of discussion and outlining eight recommendations to help implement the HEN report findings, and ultimately tackle the long-standing health inequalities facing the North of England.
